Background: I was born in Janesville, Wisconsin on a beef farm. I did my undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin - Madison and my graduate work at the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. I have lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex since the 1980s. In between I've lived in Green Bay and other small midwestern cities. I retired August 31, 2003.

I began my career as a mathematics teacher and school librarian and ended as a computer programmer and analyst. My hobbies include learning new programming languages, building websites, crocheting, small woodwork such as scroll saw, and assorted 3D crafts including paper mâché and 3D printers.

My current job is as a wife/mother.
